Things Whot I Have Bought

September 11, 2009

While we face the intermittance that is frantic study for the looming placement test (a whopping three hours of brain numbing terror), here are some things whot I have bought over the past couple o’ days:

Personal favourite already, the bottle reads "Jasmine Tea" and advertises itself as being something along the lines of 'pure' (ie, without the chemical crap most iced teas have in them here!) and with a natural, beautiful fragrance. Bought it at the 100yen store, so on top of being delicious it's also dirt cheap!

Ito-ya, a stationary hide found in various Tokyuu dept. stores, this one was at Shibuya station.

Bought this again @ Shibuya station whilst waiting for the ride home. It had been such a trying day, but I managed to order this delicious cold Honey & Lemon drink from the stand on my platform. If you look in the background you may see a little waving penguin! That's my Suica card!

My Suica!! It has a special little pocket in my purse! Essentially Japan's answer to the London Oyster card, saves you lining up to buy tickets. Instead you simply scan it at the ticket gates, it works out your journey & deducts the cost from your card . To the left is the pear print pen purse, and in the middle is my *ahem* Academic Diary...with cute bears on it.

Lipton Lemon Tea & Low Fat Milk

Isn't this just mad? Yes, it looks like I've gone and stuck the straw on the wrong end, but c'est vrai! Bought it simply because a) it was cold b) it was coffee (50/50 "Cafe au Lait" to be exact!) and c) have you seen that cat's face? Oh they say not to judge a book by its cover, but there certainly wasn't anything in ye olde parables about buying coffee for its cuteness.
